Purity is an interesting topic. Most people think may they’re a naturally “Good Person”

But Jeremiah 17:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
So according to the Bible, what is the natural condition of our hearts?

How does God cleanse us and purify us from all unrighteousness?
How would you define purity?

What’s the opposite of purity?

What about flirting, is it harmless?

Hebrews 10:22-24, tells us to draw near to God, hold fast, and encourage others.
“22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,”

In what condition should we draw near to God? (v. 22)
•       What Jesus done with our minds and our consciences? (v.22)
•       What has Jesus done to our bodies? (v.22)
With clean hearts, minds and bodies – what should we do? (v.23)

How can we help each other stay more pure in our relationship with God and each other?

How would you define modesty?

Do you feel like modesty is important? Why or Why not?

Food for thought: (will be on screen)
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God.

Above all else guard your heart, for from it flow the wellsprings of life.

Say something like, I hope that you allow yourself to receive God’s forgiveness and gift of eternal life as well as choosing to personally guard yourself against things that want to contaminate the new life that God offers.

Close in prayer

Game Instructions:
Valentine Toe Freezer
For this game you need as many buckets of ice water (or snow) as you'll have teams, with equally distributed candy hearts in them. Break your group into 4-6 person teams. Have them remove their shoes and socks and sit in a circle of chairs with the bucket in the middle. Instruct the teams that on "Go!" they are to quickly as possible "fish out" the candy hearts with their feet. The first team with all their hearts out (on the paper plate or towel you've provided) wins. Give fresh candy hearts as prizes.

Stud Walk
Take 3 secure guys out of the room. One at a time tell them to walk in with music playing with their studliest strut while the crowd is clapping and cheering. Each one is to sit down between two girls on a make shift couch (consisting of two chairs and a blanket) There is no chair in the middle where he is going to sit. As soon as he sits down have the girls stand up and he will fall right through the chairs. Have a pillow so he doesn't get hurt.
